Lunar Insight
One thing and only one thing (for now) that
astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets,
weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can
seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature
and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon,
which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the
receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is
far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the
power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life.
To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects,
then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect
fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the
project.
So, here we go…

New Moon in Capricorn , 3°
December

Happy New Moon, Everyone!
The Sun’s move into the
sign of Capricorn coincides with Winter Solstice. This
year it occurred on December 21st, 9:39 pm
PST. Happy Birthday, Capricorn!!
Many cultures celebrate
winter solstice as the time for renewal and rebirth,
connected to the return of the Sun. These beliefs
include the Egyptian mother goddess Isis giving birth to
Horus. The Sun God; Mithra, Persian God of Light and
the Greek Sun God, Apollo, were also honored on winter
solstice. The Blessed Virgin Mary gave birth to her son,
Jesus of Nazarene, within this time period as well.

This New Moon in Capricorn
urges us to look back to our fundamental values, the
traditions we were brought up with: our culture, our
parents and ancestors, the birthplace that gave us roots
to who we are now as a person, and the place we have
created to be a part of the world. “Capricorn is
symbolized by a mountain goat, solitary and alone, who
climbs to the heights with patience and persistence”
says Isabel Hickey, one of my favorite authors.
The presence of the Sun in
this cardinal earth sign inspires many of us to pursue
our long-term goals, our ambition. Venus’ entry into
innovative Aquarius on December 20th (till
February 2012) spurs hunger for freedom and a
taste of unconventional experiences. I suggest we stay
on track and not be too experimental when it comes to
defining our goals. Unpredictable and volatile Uranus
will form a difficult aspect with willful Sun and
optimistic Jupiter that can present sudden changes and
contradictions. A potential downside of these planetary
currents is by alienating ourselves from others.
Reaching out for help from friends and alliances may
prove to be beneficial.
On Sabian Symbol…
Astrological Mandala by Dane Rudhyar…
3 degrees Capricorn
indicates, “A human soul, in its eagerness for new
experiences, seeks embodiment. Keynote: A powerful
yearning for whatever will increase the depth of one’s
contacts with other living beings.”
My thoughts…
A
strong desire to make the changes is here, now! A
soulful connection will be the key to succeed. After
all, Soul is part of our everyday life, such as saying…
“The music touches my very soul.” or “The writing
awakened something in my soul.”.
Have a Blessed New
Moon!
Merry
Christmas and Happy Holidays!
And,
Keep Sharing the Light! |
