Lunar Insight
One thing and only one thing (for now) that
astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets,
weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can
seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature
and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon,
which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the
receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is
far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the
power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life.
To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects,
then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect
fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the
project.
So, here we go…

Solar Eclipse

Happy New Moon Everyone!
Like any eclipse, this solar eclipse
brought forth a powerful message - to
recharge our consciousness. Eclipses
signal major endings followed by new
beginnings.
Two planets are changing directions
during this time; Saturn started its
yearly retrograde cycle January 13th,
(a day before the eclipse) and Jupiter
moves into the sign of Pisces on January
17th. And just a few hours
before the new moon, Mercury goes direct
after its three-week period of
retrograde motion – a signal of a need
for more conservative approaches to
deciphering information.

During the new moon in
Capricorn, we are urged to abide by the rules and
regulations of the authorities. We are encouraged to
be self-reliant as any support from others may be
lacking.
New goals and big dreams are
in the picture, but watch your footings. It is time
to develop perseverance to succeed in the career
arena, and the commitment to exercise proper work
ethics. With the Sun and Moon conjunction, the
signal is dynamic, ambitious and enterprising. We
are urged to make our best effort to push forward,
initiating innovative standards and setting new
heights for ourselves.
While enthusiasms are high we
are reminded to reassess our goals and redefine our
roles we “play” in public. Do we measure our success
by the expectation of others or, by our personal
