Lunar Insight
One thing and only one thing (for now) that
astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets,
weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can
seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature
and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon,
which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the
receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is
far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the
power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life.
To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects,
then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect
fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the
project.
So, here we go…

New Moon in Cancer, 10°
Solar Eclipse

Happy New Moon, Everyone!
Change or be changed, that
is the message of this New Moon in Cancer, solar
eclipse. Power struggles will be evident on many levels;
family, intimate matters, and personal needs.
We have three outer
planets; Saturn, Uranus and Pluto, playing a big role
during this new moon... a cardinal grand square. Picture
in your mind four huge trucks (sun and moon counted as
one) coming into an intersection, halted, no one wants
to give way. “Everybody wants to be chief, nobody wants
to be Indian” as the saying goes.

A square aspect indicates a
turning point. Disciplinarian Saturn (in Libra), square
to this New Moon, requires us to be more responsible in
our relationships and partnerships. Perhaps sharing our
intimate feelings with our partner may do wonders.
Uranus, mythic God of Chaos, rouses us to be
independent, to liberate and reform. And, Pluto, the
Lord of the Underworld, obliges us to deal with our
fears, our secrets and shadows, and the power to heal
old wounds.
The union of the Sun and
the Moon (new moon) gives us a chance to take a fresh
start. New Moon in Cancer, Solar Eclipse, requires of us
to turn inward and reflect on our deepest core before
forging ahead. The Moon in Cancer is a traditional sign,
overprotective, and territorial. It wants to preserve
the foundation and prefers to stay in well-defined
boundaries.
On Sabian Symbol,
Astrological Mandala by Dane Rudhyar…
10 degrees for the
eclipse in Cancer represents “A large diamond in the
first stages of the cutting process. Keyword: The
arduous training for perfection in order to fully
manifest the ideal.”
My thoughts…
The process of perfecting a
goal will take hard work, determination and discipline.
We, the diamond cutters, must be willing to cut away the
rough parts of the stone and be our own expert
craftsman.
Have a Marvelous New Moon!
And, Keep Sharing the
Light!
