Lunar Insight
One thing and only one thing (for now) that
astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets,
weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can
seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature
and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon,
which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the
receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is
far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the
power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life.
To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects,
then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect
fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the
project.
So, here we go…

Happy Full Moon, Everyone!
We are presently at the fork in the road,
two different paths to define security. Are we seeking for emotional
security or a material kind?
This opposition of Sun in Cancer and Moon in
Capricorn (full moon) will amplify the need to come to terms with our needs
for security and comfort that was encoded in the recent three eclipses.
During the first two eclipses, we had to look at our realities through a
smoke screen. The last eclipse (in Cancer), and with this
full moon, is a wake-up call to clearly understand our
feelings and fears, |
and how much we have emotionally invested
in them. Now is the time to balance the yin and the yang, the maternal
and the paternal, or the child and the mature person within all of us.
The Moon in
Capricorn is said to be lacking of emotions and nurturing qualities.
There’s a tendency to build a wall, a fortress around the emotions. “I
don’t need anybody’s help. I do not need to feel, I have many
responsibilities to attend to.” I do not see it this way. Moon in
Capricorn, I believe, is about distancing our self to better understand
where our “mature” feelings lie. It is not about being a baby (Cancer)
anymore who cries and goes back home to mommy every time there’s a
problem. While the Moon is in Capricorn we find ourselves unable to
process emotions easily. It is a period of suppression or repression of
emotions.
Venus, the planet of Love and Beauty plays
a major role during this full moon as she forms a stressful aspect
(cardinal cross) with Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto. Being the power behind
relationships, Venus wants partnerships and alliances stabilized, more
defined, and equal on all levels, heart and soul.

23 degrees Cancer represents, “The
meeting of literary society. Keynote: An objective and critical approach
to the common factors in our culture and to its psychological problems.”
23 degrees Capricorn indicates, “A
soldier receiving two awards for bravery in combat. Keynote: The reward
offered by society for the fulfillment of individual responsibility.”
My thoughts…
23 degrees Cancer + 23 degrees Capricorn
indicates an individualized success through each and everyone’s capacity
to intellectualize the present culture’s problems. We are being awarded
for having the courage to face uncomfortable issues, and being able to
define the situation with a fair and balance analysis.
Brightest Blessings!
And, Keep Sharing the
Light!
