Lunar Insight
One thing and only one thing (for now) that
astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets,
weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can
seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature
and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon,
which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the
receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is
far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the
power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life.
To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects,
then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect
fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the
project.
So, here we go…

Happy Full Moon Everyone!
Watching the celestial currents and their effect on human
behavior has been quite concerning in the last few days. The
present transit of assertive Mars in emotional Cancer (August 3
to September 18), has proven to be emotionally challenging thus
far, resulting in a passive-aggressive behavior in many of us.
Neptune’s return to Aquarius, August 3, 2011 to February 3,
2012, will hopefully help us to gather support for our spiritual
aspirations. And don’t forget, Mercury, the planet of
communication is currently in retrograde in Leo until August 26,
2011, which can resurrect our creative ideas or we can also
overstate our own capabilities. Fuzzy thinking is still lurking
behind our brain. |
This Full Moon in
unconventional Aquarius will be opposing the prideful Sun in
Leo. Venus in conjunct with the Sun will elevate the ego
needs – love and approval that we all desire. Aquarius,
ruled by the mind, and Leo, ruled by the heart, suggests
that this may be the time for collaboration rather than
dominance. Sadly, a compromise may not be easy to come by
due to a stressful aspect between Venus-Pluto that usually
triggers suspicion and jealousy.
On August 17, four days after
the full moon, another major planetary occurrence involving
cardinal signs will force us to look back and review what we
must learn as the result of the recent eclipses. (see

On Sabian Symbol by Dane
Rudhyar, An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of
Transformations its 360 Symbolic Phases…
21 degrees Leo indicates,
“Intoxicated chickens dizzily flap their wings trying to
fly. Keynote: The often-negative and at times ludicrous,
first experience with spiritual teachings.”
21 degrees Aquarius
indicates, “A disappointed and disillusioned woman
courageously faces seemingly empty life. Keynote: The
capacity to meet emotionally upsetting experiences in human
relationships with strength of character and personal
integrity.”
My thoughts…
21 degrees Leo + 21 degrees
Aquarius indicates that we must clearly define where we are
right now (not the future). What do I need, where do I get
it, how do I get it, who should I talk to… and do this
process with integrity and calm of the spirit.
Have a Blessed Full Moon
in Aquarius!
And, Keep Sharing the Light!
