Current Sun Sign Every major planetary movement touches each and everyone of us. The effect of this movement can be felt in different degrees, in different areas of our lives. The choices you make and the attitude towards the result of those choices can also be seen through the symbols. If the experience is painful, are you willing to fix it? If the experience is satisfactory, is it real, or do you only wish it to be real? Its purpose is to share simple ways to find peace when confronted with the adversities of life. I believe in the cultivation of inner characters thus the emphasis on meditation may be noticeable. Some thought provoking ideas may be insinuated and explored. With open mind, I hope that we all can develop strength to experience life without regrets or disdain. One thing and only one thing (for now) that astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets, weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature and on human behavior. |
This is an overview for the current month's major planetary transits, aspects, retrogrades and the time they may occur. The avoidance of using astrological terminology is intended for non-astrology inclined individuals Life is about initiation and I have to work my way through the many spiritual practices I have been introduced to in the West. But, just as anything else in life, I realized that for everything that is real there is also a counterfeit in some of the teachings. I only have to remember that I, and you, and all of us are Beings of Light – nothing less. Thus, my journey continuous… Raised as a Roman Catholic, with a father who spoke to "Dwendes" and told stories of a young man's journeys in search for his lady with a star in her heart and a moon on her forehead, does seem to be a bit strange upbringing to most people, but is there any better way to live than by being a part of all living things? I thought it was normal for my brother to talk to birds and animals, which always caused him trouble with my father for being late on his errands. And what about my Godfather Ulpiano, a "Tambalan" who had to do Fire Dance Rituals to save Cousin Enza, betrothed to an "Encanto", from going back to the world of the Unseen. These were not childhood fantasies, they were all real experiences, they were my real family and this is the real me, Marcelina." |
It has been more than thirty years now that I’ve been away from my homeland - a very long time indeed. But the memories of my birthplace are still vivid; the farm where we used to plant our crops, the rice fields, our house with the stilts, the river we bathed in, our grade school yard with a huge “Datu Tree” believed to have a tree spirit to guard it from naughty children, all these are fun memories, and I want to keep them that way. Perhaps, to share with those who wonder what it is like to grew up in that part of the world.
Whispered Humble Opinion Looking back from where I came from, a remote area of the Philippines, to one of the most progressive cities in the West that I live in now, I find myself more appreciative of everything both worlds have to offer. The world of my childhood was so simple and unassuming, while my life now is seemingly involved in a fast paced lifestyle. I feel blessed for this experience and believe it to be worthwhile sharing. And so, as I utter my daily gratitude, my life goes on. My thoughts and Whispered Humble Opinions expressed here are personal and not an attempt to convince anyone.
