There have been many articles written on Mercury
Retrograde due to its frequent occurrence, but
here’s a bit more information that you can add
to your knowledge.
Mercury is the planet of communication and
everyday occurrences, and its retrograde motion
affects our everyday life. Mercury Retrogrades
occur every three months, for about three weeks
in length at a time. During this period, all
forms of communication can be misunderstood,
misdirected, misrepresented or totally lost in
the ether. It has also been noted in my
experience with clients, that contracts signed
around Mercury Retrograde can be altered later,
or will not be honored and/or will need to be
renegotiated all over again the next time
Mercury goes retrograde again. Appointments are
forgotten, travels get delayed and lost luggage
are common incidents.

“Retrogradation
indicates a returning. When something is lost it
means you will find it again. If Mercury is
retrograde it means you will alter your mind.”
As a communication planet, when Mercury is in
Aquarius it brings out original ideas geared
towards humanitarian efforts without concerns
for social acceptance. During the retrograde in
this sign, computers or information through the
internet may have flaws, technical invention
will need some more tinkering or scientific
pursuits will need some revision.
When Mercury is in Gemini, the nature of
communication will be somewhat overdeveloped and
makes one’s energy restless and apt to jump to
conclusions. Verbal or written information,
press releases will be challenged during the
retrograde period in this sign.

Communication between partnership may it be
personal or business is discussed in a manner
that balance and harmony is strived for. During
the retrograde on this sign, the challenges will
show in our relationships and/or in any
contractual situations.
One important reminder to all of us during
Mercury retrograde is… to repose. It is time to
finish old projects, to clean up old business,
to repair, revise, review, or to reconnect with
people of the past. If you have noticed, the
words I used mostly have “re” at the beginning
of the word. This should help shed some light to
some Mercurial misunderstanding.
