Questions: I am learning tarot from you and really fascinated by their accuracy. What should I keep in mind while shuffling the cards? How do I know which of the many meanings of a card are correct in each individual case? – Pamela, Laguna Beach
Answer: As a reader, I’d say nothing really but to keep calm and allow yourself to be open to any sensation or feelings that may come up while shuffling the cards – take note on your first impression, quietly.
In terms of the many meanings of a card to draw from, I would pay attention to the consistency of the numbers on the cards that come up and what suit is dominant on the spread, i e, wands, cups, swords, and pentacles. From there, you would know whether the main concern of the individual is about physical health, financial and career, relationship, etc. Don’t be shy to ask for confirmation (if need be) if you’re on the right tract or not, while on the first 1-2 card interpretation as preliminary. You’ll get a better grasp of the client’s concern by confirming it.
Hi Marcelina,
Questions: There are many people I know (some are family members) who believe tarot cards to be evil. Why do they think of it negatively when they don’t know anything about it nor want to read a book about it? Have you encountered many people like these in your practice? How would you handle this situation without getting irritated? – Lisa, Tarot Reader
Answer: Quite often, the majority of people equate something to being evil or negative if it treads in the path of the UNKNOWN or the unfamiliar. To them, there’s nothing to compare it with besides good or evil thus the later description is applied – tarot is unfamiliar to them, therefore, it may be evil. To know or learn more about it may prove you are right and they are wrong, now where would that put them?
In my practice, I need not defend nor make an attempt to convince my clients that I hold the ultimate answer to their problems in life. I interpret the tarot cards according to my understanding of the symbols and what they represent. And, I always have to remember that everyone is entitled to her/his own opinion. So far, it has worked for me.
Many blessings received via emails and in person yesterday, thank you!! It was the 3rd US president’s birthday, Thomas Jefferson, a metaphysician who wrote his own bible. Of course, am proud to celebrate the same birthday with this cool guy… sadly, not any close to his wisdom.
A friend has suggested me to lie about my age. I said, NO WAY! I’m not ashamed of my age. So, here it is, folks… yesterday, I celebrated my 3rd anniversary of my 29th anniversary, of my 29th birthday. J Once again, thank you birthday-wishers, I am honored with your generosity and your thoughtfulness! May you all be provided for: of good health, good wealth and spiritual well being, forevermore.
Bright Blessings!
Questions: Are we all going to die in 2012? The Mayan Calendar had indicated it to be so as well as the I Ching. What are your thoughts on this subject? - M.M. a client
Answer: I doubt that we are all going to die in 2012. Basing it on my understanding of the planetary influences, there are indications that the evolution of the human soul is preparing for the next level of “schooling”. The Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn, a volatile aspect, will be passing seven times by exact calculation between the year 2010 and 2012. What does it mean to a non-astrologer? Going back to the history of America, 200 plus years, every time that two outer planets (Pluto and Uranus in this case) are in cardinal signs (Aries and Capricorn), the nation has experienced a great depression.
Hi Marcelina,
Question: I put my house on the market, and for a year we had people going through it every week. No offers. We got some feedback that it smells. Yikes!!!!!I have tried everything but can’t get this resolved.
All my friends who have been inside say they have never noticed anything like that but I still got that feedback from several buyers and their agents. -Catherine, a client
Answer: Thank you Catherine, for entrusting me to share your (somewhat sensitive) question to other readers. A house cleansing and blessing suggestion would require our personal meeting, but here is my first impression on this situation.
In my opinion, if the house is physically clean and tidy, it is likely that they are sensing an unseen energy within the home. Some spiritual practices suggest a cleansing process using incense or smudging sage. Unless this process is familiar to those people who visit your home, the smell and the energy would be foreign to them and human nature’s tendency, is to label anything unidentifiable as foul, or something else.
Hi Marcelina,
Question: My daughter’s husband’s business needs help – he needs an income for the family. I have been lighting candles for my daughter, but it seems like it is not working?
– Martha of Laguna Niguel
Answer: Personally, I have concerns for people lighting candles for others to get what they want. Like a prayer, candle lighting is a petition for guidance from the Higher Being and not a “shopping list” given to another person to do the errand. I believe it to be a “partnership” between the candle and the person lighting the candle.
