Welcome Everything we observe in the Universe reminds us that change is constant in life. It announces a new birth, a death, a marriage and separation, a success and failure in business with a huge billboard but somehow we sometimes choose to ignore it. For some, they seek help from many sources including the use of spiritual counseling or divination to give them some guidelines to uncover the root of those changes and to hopefully understand the rhythms. |

Marcelina's Tidbits for January, 2012
Posted
What’s New?
Well, 2011 belongs to history now, and
hopefully it was well lived for all of us.
Christmas was quiet at our home- we did not
put up a live Christmas tree this year. But,
evergreens and Pines surround us up here,
and they were all beautifully decorated by
sparkly snow by Christmas. I did put some
ornaments and garlands on my big potted
plants inside the house. I thought it looked
quite attractive and they served their
purpose. A dinner for two was well
appreciated and enjoyed…
The month of December was not the happiest one for me personally. During the last lunar eclipse on December 10th, a very dear friend and sister of the path, Perrye Holly, passed away. New Moon in Aquarius, 3° Happy New Moon, Everyone! The sign of Aquarius is said to be the sign associated with the “dawning of the new age”; hope for the future and a catalyst for breakthroughs. Uranus, Aquarius’ modern ruling planet is known to be a planet of liberation, revolution and chaos, but it also inspires unity through diversity. Aquarius’ traditional ruler, Saturn, on the other hand, lays down the law of rules and regulations and promises trials and tribulations for incompetence and lawlessness. During this New Moon in Aquarius, fresh and brilliant ideas will be highlighted. Unexpected opportunities will be revealed that can enhance our goals and vision for the future. Enthusiasm will be apparent in which the majority of us will be seeing a ‘spark of light’ for alternative ways to be a part of the whole community. The doer planet Mars, currently in Virgo, decides to be inactive starting the next day, January 23rd and stays so until April 13th. While it lies asleep, we are being urged to put focus on perfecting our skills and to tie loose ends on unfinished business. This will include re-establishing our health and . . . continued |
Star Highlight ~ Moon The Moon represents our feminine side, our mood, instinct, emotion, sensitivity, and she’s also called the builder of form. In the physical world, the Moon has no light of its own- it borrows the light from the Sun to illuminate her radiance. It is not a planet—it is one of the two luminaries, Sun being the other. Like male and female, they are teamwork. In a natal chart, astrologers believe that while the location of the Sun indicates where the individual shines, the Moon sign and its location suggest what one must do in order to feel happy and content. As the fast moving “planet”, the Moon is like a popular actress, very in-demand, playing twelve different roles (signs) each month. Her performance requires her to change her costumes about every two and a half days. During the “costume-changing” period the actress needs to compose herself, and prepare for the new role, thus a “void-of-course” of the Moon occurs. It’s time to take a breather, sort of a mini weekend. A void-of-course may last only for a few minutes, or other times for a whole day, depending on the ‘mood’ of the Moon. We do best when we use this time for non-material concerns. Decision-making during that period usually turns out to be unrealistic. The Moon is the main timer and . . . continued |
